Concussion Care Consultation

Finding quality concussion care can be confusing, but it doesn’t have to be.

Concussion care has rapidly evolved over the last 10-15 years. This is great news, but the problem with rapid growth in medicine is that the medical community isn’t always up-to-date. Most clinical providers get very little to no training in concussion treatment and there are few fellowships in the country to train new clinicians. This can make navigating the system extremely difficult - you may see three different providers and get three completely different treatment plans!

I offer Concussion Care Consultations to help you navigate your options for care.

Initial Consult 60 mins |  $400 Additional Consults (as requested) 45 mins |  $250

FAQs

  • A Concussion Care Consult is different from treatment. Treatment for your concussion should be obtained by a licensed clinical provider in your area who can offer different forms of testing (i.e. neurocognitive, vestibular, exertion) and who will oversee your return to school or work. Consults are specifically for people who are having difficulty navigating care, who are concerned that the care they are getting is not evidence-based, or those who would like an expert opinion to compliment their treatment

  • During an initial consultation, we will review your concussion experience thus far and you will be given ample time to ask any questions you have. You will be asked to complete paperwork prior to the visit so that I will be mostly up-to-speed on your story and we can jump right in to tangible recommendations.

  • Unfortunately, my services are note currently covered by insurance, but du ing the consult, I can help you find providers in your network who are.
